I am a cultural anthropologist (U Chicago, 2004) with field research experience in Mexico and the US. Since the turn of the millennium I have studied new religious movements and heterodox sciences in high-stakes situations, attending to the varied uses of claims to (non)expertise and (non)knowledge.
